Are you ready to get fit?

We are: “A group of people working together to support consistency and routine - in a commitment to physical fitness. We're working to "earn our shower" - not to just "take" it. Let’s support, inform, and have fun with one another!”

This is NOT your typical fitness challenge. This is a group of determined people focused on improving their health through diet and exercise. No one is going to tell you what your goals should be, but we will help you to figure them out and to keep on track. Whatever your fitness goals, we are here to to cheer each other on and start the year off right!

Once you sign up, you will have until January 9, 2022 to survey where you are at now, set your goals, and commit to showing up and doing your best. We will give you a form to complete that will ask you questions to get you off to a running start.

We will officially get started on January 9, 2022 and work together for four months as we get healthier and healthier into the new year.

Communication throughout IEMS Get Fit 2022 will be in a Facebook group where we can share inspiration and cheer each other on. We will also have periodic video calls and/or virtual group workouts to keep us going.

  • Willingness to share with our community
  • Access to WhatsApp for group chat
  • Fill out Goal form prior to January 9th (we'll send this to you after you sign up)
  • Before & After photos (to share only within our group)

With the 2020 COVID lock-downs and restrictions, I wasn’t moving as much and was gaining a pound a month! By August, I knew I had to do something and started walking daily and watching my diet. Joining IEMS in January 2021 helped me maintain these habits during the winter months and a move back to the PNW. I stuck with it - averaging 10,000 steps a day and losing 8 lbs! I was thrilled to win first place. I used the prize $$ to sign up for an introductory Pilates series this summer. Six months later, I’m still going to Pilates 2/week and walking most days. IEMS provided the accountability I needed to stick to my goals. And the people are awesome!

A couple of years ago, I realized that my fitness (and corresponding weight) issues were keeping me from activities I wanted to do with my children, affecting my happiness, and moving towards long-term health issues. I needed to get back to feeling athletic! The pandemic was actually a help with less time spent traveling, but I needed more to really stick to an improvement plan. I needed a group that inspires, supports, and creates a sense of competition to help with those days where it’s too easy to skip a run or make a poor food choice. The IEMS community gave me all of those things and helped me reach my fitness and health goals last year! Fun outcome, I used the winnings to buy clothes that fit the improved me! Keep bringing it!!!
